How can I help you grow in grace

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a one-on-one therapeutic process where a trained professional helps clients explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. This personalized approach focuses on unique challenges and goals, allowing clients to gain insights and develop coping strategies for personal growth and healing.

Play Therapy
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses play to help children express their feelings and experiences. While I use the modalities of play therapy, I am not trained. This method allows children to communicate challenges may be hard to articulate verbally. Through play, therapists can observe behaviors and facilitate healing making it effective for those dealing with trauma or anxiety.

EMDR Therapy
Commonly used for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties, the core idea behind EMDR is that trauma can get "stuck" in the brain, preventing normal healing. EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation (like tapping or tones) while the person recalls distressing events. This helps the brain reprocess the memory in a healthier way, reducing emotional intensity and negative beliefs tied to the trauma.

Group Counseling
Group counseling is a safe, supportive space where a small group of individuals—often 6 to 10 people—meet regularly with a licensed therapist to work on shared goals, challenges, or experiences. It’s a place to grow through connection, understanding, and mutual support.

Youth Counseling
Youth counseling is a safe and supportive space where children and teenagers can talk with a licensed therapist about the challenges they’re facing—whether it’s emotional, behavioral, social, or related to school or family. The goal is to help them better understand their feelings, develop healthy coping skills, and grow into more confident, resilient individuals.

Family Counseling
Family counseling is a form of therapy that helps family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships. It’s not about placing blame—it's about working together in a safe, guided space to understand one another better and build a healthier family dynamic.

Christian Counseling
For clients who wish to integrate their faith into the counseling process, I offer Christian counseling grounded in both clinical practice and biblical principles. This approach provides a space to explore life’s challenges through a spiritual lens—incorporating prayer, scripture, and faith-based values as desired by the client.
Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, or a deeper connection with God, Christian counseling offers a supportive path rooted in grace, truth, and hope. This service is always led by your comfort level and personal beliefs.

504 Consultation
As an outside counselor, a 504 consultation allows me to support you in preparing for your child’s school meeting under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. I can help you understand how your child’s mental health or medical needs may qualify them for accommodations, and provide documentation or recommendations to the school team. While I don’t make final decisions, my role is to advocate alongside you to ensure your child receives the support they need to succeed in the classroom.
